“The tranquil moon of burnished bronze” a poem to celebrate the beauty of creation. #poem #poetry #verse

The tranquil moon of burnished bronze
To the earthly realm draws near
Its benign regard to cast
Upon the empty fields
On an eventide inscrutable
Muted of sound
Of movement exanimate
For not many a soul this far
To venture does much care
Deep into the welcoming embrace
Of solitude extreme
Within the walls
Of a vast hidden dominion
Silent and deserted
The desires of a lone wanderer
To fulfil
On a pilgrimage
Beloved scenes familiar to seek
Amidst the hours of darkness
In the sumptuous coloration of a velvet night bathed
As underfoot the plush carpet of baize green
Across the land spreads wide
Beneath the lofty heights celestial of deep indigo
Illumined by the soft golden glow of moonlight
Drenching the scene entire
Its enigmatic beauty to bestow
Upon the placid idyll below

      2. Oh thank you! I am truly encouraged and uplifted by your kind words of support. You are very generous. You are a gifted poet yourself and I always enjoy what you create.

I think I just typed in poets poetry etc in the search bar to find poetry writers and yours came up. I’ve only just recently discovered that putting #poetry hashtags with work lets poeple know about you which broadens our horizons a lot.πŸ˜ŠπŸ’›

I love the “terrain of solitude”…it sounds so whimsical, enigmatic and draws me into it.
Solitude has got much to offer us. It restores and nourishes us. It cleanses us. It allows us time to think and to become who we truly are, even if only for a time. But then I’m sure you know this too, in view of your remarks 😊🌻
