“In the coolness of the early morning” #poem #poetry #verse

In the coolness of the early morning Whispered glad tidings abound
From the ebbing veil of night
Of the imminent arrival awaited
Of the famed pale gold disc
That smoulders its flames of creamy yellow satin
Gently lapping at the edge of the slumbering world
Beneath the dark blue of the sleeping horizon It murmurs words and rhymes of lullabies
And calls to reveille the supine earth
From within the warmth of chambers reluctant
Adieu to bid to the night darkness
To the urgency of the new day yielding
Impatiently clawing in the unseen inky depths
Behind the veil of dawn awaiting
The fragility of the dying night to observe
With the inevitable approach relentless
Of the final curtain call that awaits
When the darkness must relinquished be
For to yield to the great new age golden
In treasures and promises richly abundant
