‘A milk white light’

A milk white light
from a vast moon
shimmered aloft
At the midnight hour

It seeped through the thin gauze
afloat in the empyrean ceiling
With an ethereal lambency
that pervaded the celestial heights

While a serene indigo
abounded in the sublime empty

Where a spectral glow
from a distant realm
Emanated from a sea of stars
as they roamed the vast scape
For to dispel a tenebrous darkness
and clothe the skeletal trees
which graced the vernal land
With a pearlescent lustre
one deserted winter’s night
